About the Role
An integral member of the Senior Leadership Team, this role is responsible for leading a high expectations culture and day to day organisation and operation of the Te Haerenga – Mangatāwhiri Outdoor Campus.
The position is accountable for the design, planning, management and shared implementation of an integrated outdoor learning programme that is offered to all Dilworth learners/ākonga at each year level.
Skills & Experience
Dilworth has aspirational plans for the future, and seeks a Head of Te Haerenga – Mangatāwhiri Outdoor Campus to help shape these. An understanding of the importance of boarding and the house system is essential. Most importantly, well qualified applicants will be able to articulate and demonstrate a commitment to the school’s values as an Anglican institution: Valuing Tradition, Building Community, Developing Resilience and Providing Opportunity.

About the Company
Dilworth School was established in 1906 pursuant to the will of James Dilworth. It exists to provide free board, education and training for boys of “parents of good character in straitened circumstances” with the aim that the students will become “good and useful members of society”. The will of James Dilworth further stipulates Dilworth’s students be given a Christian education, grounded in the traditions of the Anglican Church. Dilworth is New Zealand’s largest boarding-only school, with classes from Years 7-13.
