The future of innovation and engineering | Professor Ian Hunter
One of New Zealand’s most successful engineering inventors, Professor Ian Hunter pioneered novel work in robotics, medical devices and bioinstrumentation, co-founded over 30 companies, and has over 150 patents to his name. He is the Hatsopoulos Professor of Thermodynamics in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he runs the BioInstrumentation Lab. In this fireside chat, he will share his journey from Auckland to MIT, lessons learned from decades as an inventor and entrepreneur, and his thoughts on the future of innovation and engineering.
